Chơn Lý Tầm Nguyên is not a Religion.

It encompasses All Religions. God creates and governs the Whole Universe, invisible or Spiritual, and visible or Physical, including Human Beings who are all Sons and Daughters of God. God creates Human to assist Him in the Creation process.

Everything exists in the Eternal Present governed by Truth or Chơn Lý.

Truth is the foundation of everything in the Universe,

Truth Awareness does bring positive change in Consciousness;

Truth is infinite, beyond grasp of the intellectual mind,

To recognize Truth, seek Truth from the Original Source.

Caodaism has agitated the public opinion and the authorities in Vietnam since the 1920’s by its sudden appearance, its rapid expansion, its social importance, as much as the number of its different sects.

It has been labeled as Renovated Buddhism or New Religion, and is believed to be generally derived from the superstition or fantasy of men. Let us try to understand this new religion in the study that will follow.

First Caodaism was revealed by spiritualism: Now, what is spiritualism? We know that spiritualism has existed for a long time and is commonly practiced in Asia, Europe and America. Are there no well known centers and Spiritual Societies which have published their work in many books and magazines?

Caodaism interests people who have faith in God and his Saints, in the Survival of the Soul, in an invisible world. In Indochina, an article by Nam Phong (April 1932, p 393 to 401), retraced the purpose, technique, and results of these invocation sessions of the spirits. The article also spoke of a Recueil de Hundred Poems collected at Hà Tiên, where this practice was popular and represented one of the elite’s favorite distractions. It was indeed at Hà Tiên or Phú Quốc where Mr. Ngô Minh Chiêu, during these sessions, received the Revelation of the Higher Spirits. Mr. Chiêu was introduced to the Life beyond death, to deliverance. But in most occasions, only more or less perfect poems are obtained on vulgar subjects or on medical recipes.

But soon after being recalled to Sài Gòn, he confided this secret to a small group of friends who founded the Cần Thơ Center. He himself practiced with zeal and fervor the fasting, the prayers, the detachment and the meditation. Yet for want of absolute abstinence, he did not achieve his goal because he died without achieving anything wonderful.
